Quotation charge and Insurance reports for Canon and Sony Camera Repairs

To book in your camera, it will cost $60.00 per camera to have your faulty camera assessed and quoted.

Furthermore, if you decide to have your camera repaired, we will not charge a quotation fee upon booking your repair.

However, should you decide to not go ahead with the repair, the quotation charge will need to be paid upon collection of your camera.

We can also create an insurance quote, if required. We will send you an email in regards to your camera repair which you can submit to your insurer.

Alternatively, you can visit our store or post the faulty camera (please contact us before posting your damaged camera to our shop).

Furthermore, once the camera repair has been assessed, we will inform you of what is at fault. You will also be informed of what is required to repair the fault. We will provide pricing for the work involved and also a time frame for completion.

Moreover, we do currently require 10 to 15 working days to have your camera tested, checked and quoted.

Digital SLR and Mirrorless CMOS Sensor Cleaning Service and Full Strip Down Cleaning service

We provide the very best cleaning service in Australia. We take pride in our work when cleaning your digital camera, by taking the time out to do the job right. That is why we require 24 hours to complete a general service and clean.

We offer 2 types of cleaning services.

A general service and clean mainly for CMOS sensor cleaning and a full strip down clean used main for any faults located with the camera body.

1. General Digital Camera CMOS Sensor Cleaning Service

Cropped Sensor Camera Clean – Canon CMOS Sensor Digital SLR and Sony Mirrorless CMOS Sensor general service and clean will cost $110.00. Lens required with camera body

Full Frame Camera Clean – Canon Digital SLR CMOS Sensor and Sony Mirrorless CMOS Sensor general service and clean will cost $150.00. Lens required with camera body

General service and clean – This service is only for Digital SLR Cameras. Therefore, the camera is not pulled apart to be cleaned.

Includes;

• CMOS sensor low pass filter cleaning, where we access the sensor through the mirror box assembly removing dots, dust and dirt, specks and blemishes from images.
• Cleaning of lens bayonet mount, insides of the mirror box assembly area, mirror assembly and focus sensor.
• Additionally, the focus screen is cleaned also the SI screen, if the camera has one to access.
• View finder first optic cleaning.
• LCD screens cleaning.
• Cleaning in and around flash compartment.
• External cleaning of the camera, including camera body, doors, buttons, knobs, rubber grips or plastic covers and accessible compartments, SD or CF socket area, battery compartment USB HDMI MIC port area and rubber flap.
• We prefer to have your most common used lens attached to the camera when it is brought in for a service, which is also included with the service and cleaning process.
• External cleaning of the lens.
• Front and back optics cleaning, in and also around the optics bay area.
• Filters that may be on the lens may also need cleaning.
• Front and rear caps cleaning.

Finally, we believe that not only should the sensor be cleaned. The external camera and lenses should be cleaned to reduce the chance of dust and dirt specks from getting back into the sensor.

2. Full digital camera strip down service & clean

Cropped Cameras – Canon CMOS Sensor Digital SLR and Sony Mirrorless CMOS Sensor, full strip down service and clean could cost between $200.00 up to $550.00 depending on the model of the camera, time taken and work involved.

Full Frame Cameras – Canon Digital SLR CMOS Sensor and Sony Mirrorless CMOS Sensor, full strip down service and clean could cost between $200.00 up to $700.00 depending on the model of the camera, time taken and work involved.

Compact Camera, partial or full strip down service and clean could cost between $90.00 up to $400.00 depending on the model of the camera, time taken and work involved.

Full strip down service and clean – only used when the camera is not functioning correctly, sand and dirt may be inside the camera stopping your unit from working correctly. CMOS sensor may have dirt and dust between the low pass filter and the CMOS sensor.  Dots could be in the viewfinder or pentaprism that could not be accessed by general service and clean (extremely common with newer style digital SLRs).

This service is for both Canon Digital SLR Cameras, Sony Mirrorless and Digital Compact Cameras.

Includes;

• Partial or complete strip down of the camera to access the parts that require a thorough clean out.
• Internal and external thorough clean out.
• Cleaning of insides of the mirror box assembly and mirror.
• The entire lens is stripped down, cleaned out piece by piece, lubricated, assembled and realigned for compact cameras.
• Additionally, the focus screen cleaned, in addition the SI screen if the camera has one.
• View finder first optic cleaning, pentaprism in and behind the mirror box assembly and all mechanical parts, if required.
• LCD screens cleaning.
